Install Ribbon on macOS

Download the disk image, drag Ribbon to Applications, allow Accessibility, then start the strip from the menu bar. Scroll with a three-finger swipe.

  1. Download the disk image and drag Ribbon to Applications.
  2. First open: if macOS says the app can’t be opened, right-click Ribbon in Applications → Open → Open. Or use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
  3. Open Ribbon from the menu bar, not the Dock.
  4. Turn on Ribbon Windows in Accessibility. That is the part that moves windows.
  5. Swipe with three fingers to move the strip. Turn off macOS “Swipe between full-screen apps” and Three Finger Drag first. Option + two fingers works if you set Finger swipe to Off.
  6. Pick a shortcut style in Settings. Record changes one row at a time.
  7. Paste the license key from your email in Settings → License.
